I started to feel numbness in my 4 limbs in feb 2017, and MRI confirmed I had 2 herniated disc between C4 C5 C6 section in my neck spinal cord. The discs were pressing against my nerves in the spine, which caused the numbness. Physiotherapy did not help at all so surgery was the only option.

I was referred to Dr. Yip by a parent at my kid’s school, and I went to his clinic to seek for 2nd opinion. Dr. Yip was very familiar with my situation as he had done microscopic surgery on many similar (or worse) cases before me. His detailed explanation and in depth knowledge of my situation gave me full confidence to choose him to perform my operation.

The surgery went very well and I was out of the hospital after 3 days. I spent 2 weeks at home before going back to work and I had to wear a neck brace for a month. Full recovery took 6-9 months for the bone to heal. Now I can play basketball and soccer just like before without any limitation, and most importantly I don’t feel anymore numbness in my limbs.

I highly recommend Dr. Andrew Yip if you experience similar symptom as I did. He will certainly be able to help you at a reasonable cost.
