Traumatic accidental tattoo means colored dust particles are embedded in the skin causing pigment like discoloration of the skin.
This condition is usually treated by 3 to 6 sessions of laser therapy @ 6 weeks apart.We commonly use Q-switched (short pulse) Nd-YAG laser. Carbon dioxide (CO2) laser which is more ablative is usually reserved as a second line treatment.
