有關兒外科問題
病患者女 - 13個月
您們好！我有一個13個大的外孫女在温哥華，因早產時不能自行吃奶，初期用鼻喉餵奶，後改為在腹部入管，直到上兩個月才拔除，但是當地醫生並不主張即時縫合，說會令胃部留下疤痕，需要觀察數月才决定。但是已經兩個月，傷口仍是有滲漏，皮膚因長期封口會痕癢，回覆是有待外科醫生有空才約見。
請問我們應該什麼樣做呢？不知嬰兒還要受苦到何時呢？如果帶回港縫針適當嗎？

Dear Ms Tsui,
Thank you for the letter. The opening at the gastrostomy site usually can close by itself at around 3 weeks. There are conditions such as distal obstruction or some stitches at the site that causes the site to persists. If the these conditions have been ruled out, a short general anaesthesia the site can be closed surgically. In the mean time, skin protective cream can be useful.
